Fundraiz partnered with Breton X to build an AI-powered fundraising platform that simplifies workflows, predicts donor behaviour, personalises outreach, and scales effortlessly for growth.

The Challenge

When Fundraiz began, many non-profits and mission-driven organisations were struggling to keep pace with the rapidly changing fundraising landscape. Traditional donor-management tools weren’t built with AI in mind, and teams often found themselves spending too much time on manual data-entry, donor segmentation and campaign-planning tasks rather than building relationships and creating impact.

Fundraiz’s founding team recognised a gap: organisations needed a next-generation platform that could think as well as simply track — one that could surface insights, predict behaviour, personalise outreach, and adapt dynamically. But to build that, they needed a tech-partner with design, architecture, scalability and AI-integration expertise. That’s where Breton X entered.

Our Approach

Working side-by-side with Fundraiz, Breton X took a full-stack, agile approach to turn the vision into reality:

  1. Discovery & strategy – We facilitated workshops with Fundraiz’s founders and early clients to map out the user journeys of fundraisers, donors and campaign-managers. We defined key use-cases: campaign-optimisation, AI-generated content suggestions, predictive giving windows, and an intuitive dashboard for staff.
  2. Architecture & infrastructure – We designed a cloud-native microservices platform, ensuring high availability, secure data handling, compliance and modularity so Fundraiz could grow into new verticals.
  3. AI-first features – Our team integrated machine-learning models that analyze history, engagement signals and campaign performance
  4. UX/UI & onboarding – Fundraisers are often not technical specialists, so we placed usability front and centre: an onboarding wizard, drag-and-drop campaign builder, visual dashboards and in-app guidance.
  5. Continuous iteration & support – After launch, Breton X helped Fundraiz roll out iterative updates, refining the models based on real usage data, adding integrations (CRM, payment gateways, social platforms) and scaling the system as new customers joined.

The Results

Since launching the new AI-powered Fundraiz platform:

  • Fundraising planning time has dropped by nearly 30%, freeing fundraisers to spend more time on donor relationships and strategy.
  • Clients appreciate that Fundraiz requires no in-house data-science team. A typical 1-2-person fundraising team can now launch a full multichannel campaign in hours instead of days.
  • Fundraiz has scaled from its initial pilot and the modular architecture built by Breton X means the platform is ready to support hundreds more.

Why This Works

Fundraiz stands out for a few key reasons:

  1. Built for purpose — It wasn’t just a repackaged CRM; it was designed from the ground up for the unique workflows of fundraising
  2. AI-augmented, not AI-replacing — The intelligence supports human fundraisers, enhancing their effectiveness rather than automating them out.
  3. Deep integrations & data-leverage — The platform captures data-synergies that older systems couldn’t.
  4. Usability & onboarding focus — A fundraising team doesn’t want to spend weeks learning software; the UX was designed to feel familiar and fast.
  5. Scalable architecture — Built to support growth, new modules and increased usage without performance compromise.

Looking Ahead

Fundraiz and Breton X are now exploring next-generation capabilities: real-time analysis (via AI on email and social-media text), augmented-reality campaign storytelling, and marketplace features connecting non-profits with cause-aligned corporate sponsors.

As Fundraiz continues to evolve, the thinking remains clear — empower organisations to focus on impact, while the platform handles the data-heavy, intelligence-driven backbone of fundraising.
